Aidai Zhumasheva
Mr. Kaluki Paul Mutuku is a Kenya-based young climate advocate and an environmental defender, working to champion meaningful youth engagement for Climate action. His background is in Environmental Conservation and Natural Resource Management from the University of Nairobi, Kenya. He has experience in community organizing, climate communication, campaign coordination, environmental education among many other areas. Previously, he worked with 350.org Kenya, for the successful deCOALonize campaign that sought to stop building of a coal-fired power plant in Kenya's Lamu UNESCO world heritage site, and its subsequent mining from Kitui county. He is a trained Environmental Educator with A Rocha Kenya, under the Education for sustainable Development, ESD. Currently, Mr. Kaluki is the Africa Regional Coordinator at Youth4Nature, a global youth-led organization mobilizing youth for Nature-Based solutions. His key focus for Africa is on land restoration, reforestation, ecological farming and youth leadership across the spaces. He runs an environmental initiative, Green Treasures Farms, where he seeks to Intensify Environmental Sustainability by engaging rural communities in Kenya to protect their biodiversity, grow organic food, grow trees and build sustainable communities. He also hosts an environmental blog to foster environmental action for all.

Irene Ojuok
Irene Ojuok is an Environmentalist passionate in transforming lives and landscapes through sustainable restoration and livelihoods strengthening efforts. She has worked with communities across different landscapes in Kenya over the last ten years, championing community-driven development models. Irene is passionate about gender mainstreaming and community-driven land restoration approaches, notably Farmer Managed Natural Regeneration (FMNR) for which she has been honoured locally and globally. In 2016, she received the Total Eco Challenge Tree ambassador award. She believes in Mahatma Gandhi's quote “I am the source of change I want to become”. She holds a Bachelors in Environmental Studies (Resource Conservation) and a Masters in Project Planning and Management. Irene has commenced her doctoral research in Land Restoration and FMNR in Kenya at the University of Bonn, Institute of Research and Development and Right Livelihood College.

Tony spent 18 years in Niger, managing the SIM Maradi Integrated Development Project, famine relief interventions, and pioneering Farmer Managed Natural Regeneration (FMNR)(1981-1999). These activities contributed to a transformation in the way Nigeriens farm, and the reforestation of over six million hectares of land. He also helped develop and promote alternate food crops, including drought tolerant, high-protein edible Australian acacias. The government of Niger awarded him it’s highest honor for an expatriate “The Order of Agricultural with Merit” (Merite Agricole du Niger). Tony, often referred to as the “Tree Whisperer”, is the Principal Natural Resources advisor at World Vision Australia, and 2018 Right Livelihood Award laureate.
